Mike's Just Bridges

Home of Quality Built Custom Bridges

I specialize in turn of the century wooded bridges and trestles of the Colorado High Country. I offer any of the custom bridges listed on this site. Don't see what you are looking for, I can build any bridge provided you have pictures and/or specifications for the project. Most bridges can be built in either narrow or standard gauges. I build using either basswood or redwood in scales from N to G. The wood used on the bridges can either be smooth or rough cut to any scale size. Steel and modern era bridges are not shown on this site, however are considered on a case by case basis. Railroads I have documentation for include Rio Grande Southern (RGS), Denver and Rio Grande Western (DRGW), Colorado Midland (CMRW), Central Pacific (CPRR), Florence and Cripple Creek (F&CC), Denver South Park and Pacific (DSPP), Denver Salt Lake and Pacific (Moffat line), Rock Island and many more.

Are you looking for that custom detailing to match your layout? Here's an example of the information that helps me build the right structure for you:
On30, RGS style, 10 1/2 in long, with 1in Pile abutment on each end, 1st bent 3in high, 2nd bent 3 ½ in high, 3rd bent 4in high, 30in radius to the right, 2% grade going to the high end, make it look old and like it has been repaired many times.

Let me know what you are looking for, I will build it!
Why I should build for You!
Quality—I build with the best materials and tools available. All bridges and trestles are built to the same standards as those for my personal use. If I’m not proud of the finished product, I’ll rebuild it.
Process—Bridges are first designed with drafting software and then emailed to the buyer for approval prior to building. All bridges are built with precision to match the plans. Processes used include jigs for accurate construction, glue techniques to make joints disappear, reproduction of bridge fireproofing, and weathering.
Expense—All my bridges are either replicas of bridges that once existed or are built to railroad standards and could have existed. I compile all information available to me work it into my designs. This equates to hundreds of hours to research and $1000’s spent on out-of-print books, tools and materials.
